These are two trucks I've driven very little that have even less in common. They share a 140mm wheelbase though and the Bronco body from FairRC came as a 2 for 1 deal (still does I believe) so when I finished building my c1 stainless 24, the extra was the only body I had on hand that "fit" the wheelbase and meets the class 1 qualifications. The red FCX truck was never built to be a performer; it's more just to be a cool looking truck that I made from spare parts when I was focused on the FCX platform. The Stainless 24 is built to be a class 1 killer, and I think it will be. For the "competition" I placed 13 gates (10 mando, 3 bonus) around my course as well as a start and finish line to simulate a comp. Never having driven either truck in their current setups, nor tested any of the gate placements, I was dubious either truck would make it through them all. I was pleasantly surprised by both trucks. Even though the FCX struggled, as I knew it would, it drove better than expected (mostly thanks to the good wheel/tire/insert combo) and more importantly, looked cool doing it. The Stainless 24 really impressed me - I built my course for trucks rocking 70mm+ tires, so 57mm tires are small for my rocks. I never tuned the truck or anything - just finished the build and immediately threw it on the course. While I didn't finish in under 6 minutes, so technically DNF, that was all my poor driving (and perhaps an inappropriately long course) and no fault of the truck.
