Automate Using Your Probe! Make the Most of Your Probe with Macros – Haas Automation Tip of the Day

Your probe does a lot more than just set Tool and Work Offsets, it can also be used to perform in-process inspection. And with some simple macro programming, you can take those dimensional values and do things like have your machine display an alarm if a part is out of spec, re-machine a part to get it in tolerance, even mill identifying marks into your part. All of these features are standard when you have probing on your Haas, and the macro programming is much simpler than you probably thought.
