I thought it might be neat to include input so people know what I'm doing (might be difficult to see, and it's just a default overlay from the plugin for OBS. Maybe I could make a new one or see if someone has a better one?) Mostly I'm gauging how popular this would be to see if I should do the rest of the game or not. I may also try to speedrun AW2 at a later date, but I'm not sure if I have the patience to commit 2 hours per run to something that might get RNG ruined a few levels(or even the last level itself which can be long!). For most levels, I'll see if I can find a way to 300 these levels in a quicker time than I already uploaded a few years back. I probably won't re-upload any levels that are already optimized, and I'm not sure if I'll get around to the Hard Campaign (believe me, I know we all need a better video for the Hard Campaign levels that are 20+ minutes), but we'll see how it goes! I'll repost the basic info/scoring below from the original AW2 mission 1 video: Speed: To get 100 in speed, simply complete the mission in the time limit. This changes by mission, but you can usually figure it out after a few tries. This applies to both Campaign, and War Room missions. Power: For power, use the formula: Power = 1000 * D / T Where D = Destroyed enemy units T = Total enemy units This means destroying about 10% of the TOTAL enemy forces at the end of a level in a single turn, which isn't a problem in most levels, unless you go for a capture victory. This applies to both Campaign, and War Room missions. Technique: To get 100 in technique, only 20% of your total units can get destroyed (I.E. 10 units if you built 50 total) in Campaign missions, or 10% of your total units in War Room missions. Not exactly 10% but close enough. This makes War Room significantly harder to score 100 if you often play for attrition. The best way to increase the buffer is to combine similar units, so you can build more than 50. This doesn't count against technique, and can give you a higher total built count by the end of the level. [Super]CO Power([S]COP): Each star is worth 9000 "funds" lost. Dealing damage provides half as much, so destroying 2 B-Copters(9000 funds) will give the same amount of COP as losing 1 of your own(provided you don't take counterattack damage destroying the 2 B-Copters). After using either COP, these stars increase by about 2000 funds each. COPs in general for AW2 don't give +10% offense like AW1/DS, but they do give +10% defense. Luck: From my understanding, every hit has a chance to do bonus damage upwards of 9%, with roughly equal weight for every percentage 0-9%. This means a 95% hit can actually do anywhere between 95% and 104% damage. If I understand correctly, lower hp units have less luck since it multiplies the luck by the fraction of health the unit has, so hitting an 8 on luck with a 5hp unit will reduce it to +4%. Also, defense(from terrain/COP/Kanbei/Sturm) affects all damage, luck included, since it's calculated afterwards, so don't expect to hit a +9 on anything but roads/bridges/rivers/sea/shores/air units. Level comments: Cleanup/Andy 1: Super basic intro mission Border Skirmish/Sami 1: Quick HQ capture, you don't actually need to keep the artillery alive for perfect score since you have more than 5 units Orange Dawn/Max 1: RNG based. Sometimes he might block his HQ with a tank/MD tank if he doesn't move them out. Normally he gets baited by the artillery and you don't actually need to send the MD tank up Andy's Time/Andy 2: If you're lucky, you won't need to block with the T-Copter/Recon since Flak's infantry might not damage your artillery from his dispersion, but I don't like taking big risks and losing a turn Flak Attack/Max 2: He might not move both bombers in range, or he might attack your forest AA with a bomber + copter to destroy it. Not sure if it's possible to win a turn sooner by killing his infantry faster with RNG. You don't need to capture the city for the lab location Lash Out/Sami 2: RNG based. Sometimes she moves her infantry near the HQ instead of the bridge, and you need to restart the level. She might also not use her rocket to hit the lander/cruiser for Sami's SCOP Test of Time/Andy 3: Very RNG heavy. Not worth trying to 3 turn during a speedrun Liberation(CO Choice): RNG heavy. There's a small chance he'll move the recon to the right for the 100 power turn. You'll have to keep resetting and hope Flak doesn't build more than 10 units for 100 power.
