Spent an evening exploring the Behringer Spice and experimenting a bit with its patching possibilities, without diving too deeply into all the details. In this session, I created a setup with two sequences running at different speeds. The sub-oscillators provide the foundational framework, while the main oscillators shape the tonal textures. Here’s how it works: VCO 1 is controlled by both Sequence 1 and Sequence 2, creating a nice harmonic interplay. VCO 2 is modulated by the first sub-oscillator, adding depth and movement to the sound. I bring these elements in and out gradually as the session progresses, letting the dynamics evolve over time. The VCF is modulated by a LFO coming from my modular. For effects, I used my Keyscreamer to add a touch of saturation and distortion, combined with a Zoom CDR for compression, tremolo, and some subtle reverb. The rhythmic base is provided by a Teenage Engineering PO-33 KO, keeping things grounded. And yes, you might notice a few glitches here and there—they’re absolutely intentional - no errors occur while a live setting , adding a bit of character and unpredictability to the sound. 😉 Let me know what you think of this patch! 🎛✨
