The perfect base for exploring the Val d’Orcia. ✨ Here’s what we did: Montepulciano • Breakfast at Caffè Poliziano • Climbed Terrazza del Palazzo Comunale for panoramic views • Wine tasting at the organic winery Salcheto Pienza • Farm-to-table lunch at Podere il Casale • Explored Palazzo Piccolomini Gardens • Walked Via Dell’Amore • Wine tasting at Enoteca DiGhino and gelato at Buon Gusto Gelateria Monticchiello • Admired postcard views of the Val d’Orcia • Wandered the medieval village • Enjoyed wine and espresso at La Guardiola Wine & Food We returned to Follonico to help feed the animals and savor a bottle of wine from Salcheto. That evening, we ventured to the village of Bettolle for dinner at Walter Redaelli.
