"Uncle Tom's Cabin" was published on this date in 1852, it was one of the most, if not the most, popular anti slavery novel ever written, That first year it sold over 300,000 copies in America, and over 1 million in Britain. When asked how she wrote such a great story, Harriet B. Stowe said: "I did not write it. God wrote it, I merely did His dictation." There is also a story about when Lincoln met Ms. Stowe, and he supposedly said on greeting her: "So this is the little lady who started the Great War (Civil War)." Also on this day March 20th, 1930 the Kentucky Fried Chicken company was founded by Colonel Sanders, who was 65 years old. Now that's notable for this day.
