Hatching Eggs - Chicks / Chickens - Time lapse Video

Watch these eggs wonderously hatch into fluffy chicks! The first minute is shown in real time - just to show you how slow and exhausting the process is for these little chicks. Click 1:36 to jump to time lapse. It can take 14 hours - so we used some time lapse video to speed things up. Please ask questions in comments below and I will reply as soon as I can. After hatching, these chicks lived happy lives and were loved and looked after on a family property. They were a delight to 3 young kids. Notice how the chicks go through cycles of movement and rest. Poor little fellows - they get so exhausted. At the start, "Eggs! Ohhh" was an audio of my 2 year old son watching the eggs at the time as they cracked open. Thanks for watching! (This was footage captured in 2010 with a Canon EOS 500D. We went through a few memory cards and took ~ 8 hours to film it all. Recently we made a few tweaks and added the soundtrack by the JarrahCelts.)
