A quiet morning on the hobby farm turned into absolute chaos when a 10-metre tree crashed straight onto our guinea pig coop. No wind, no warning just a flattened coop, bewildered animals and us trying to figure out what on earth to do next. We managed to rescue the guinea pigs, call in the CFS, rope in some friends with a tractor and stop the pigs, chickens and cows from escaping through the smashed fence.
