Take a cinematic FPV flight through two of San Bernardino's most historic corridors, exploring a hidden past from a unique perspective. This journey blends the natural beauty of the city's iconic tree-lined avenues with the rich history etched into its roads and hillsides. First, we soar down Mountain View Avenue, a scenic parkway with a fascinating secret. Before the quiet median existed, it was the route for the Pacific Electric railway's "water train," a real locomotive that carried water in tanker cars right through the neighborhood in the 1940s. Next, we transition to a twilight flight along the famous E Street / Kendall Curve. This historic road has had many names over the decades. As shown in the video at 3:34, it was known as the Kendall Memorial Highway (1926-1934), then later became the famous Business U.S. Route 66 (1934-1964), and was finally designated State Route 206 (1964–1991). Along this curve, we rediscover the "1977 All-American City" mural and fly over the legendary site of the Castaway Restaurant, now the Hilltop View Restaurant.
