After the battle, Ieyasu gave 520,000 koku of Harima Province (Himeji Domain) to Ikeda Terumasa, who had married Tokuhime (Ieyasu's second daughter), and asked him to become the "western key" of the Tokugawa shogunate. In 1632 (Kan'ei 9), Ikeda Mitsunaka, Terumasa's grandson (Ieyasu's great-grandson), became the lord of Tottori Domain with 320,000 koku. The Tottori Ikeda family continued to exist for about 240 years until the end of the Edo period, maintaining deep ties with the Tokugawa family through the establishment of Tottori Toshogu Shrine and marriages with families with ties to the Tokugawa family.
