This is not a review of the Jiffy E6 Lightning. I hope to do a follow up review at a later date. I just picked this auger up 5 days ago. I was trying to find videos and reviews online but there isn't a whole lot out there. I was fishing on February 22nd 2019 on Lake Winnipeg (south basin). There was 42" of ice with an additional few inches of snow pack on top where I drilled this hole. I am using an 8" flyte with a generic 12" extension as my fishing buddy borrowed my Jiffy extension and it's still at his cabin. My generic extension is from my Rapala gas auger. I couldn't get the holes on the extension to line up perfectly with the shaft on the Jiffy auger and the holes on the Jiffy flyte so I just drilled a couple of test holes only. I should also note that my E6 auger has the 24:1 Planetary Transmission which is made for the 10" flyte and turns at 238 RPM vs the 15:1 Planetary Transmission made for the 6", 8" and 9" flytes and turns at 380 RPM. I chose the 24:1 transmission so that I have the option to run either an 8" or 10" flyte.
