Morris dancing side based in West Malvern. Friendly fun group of people who love to dance! Beacon Morris always welcome any new dancers and musicians at their Tuesday evening practices. Beacon Morris of West Malvern was founded by Mike Salter after his move to West Malvern in 1990, and its first incarnation lasted until 1994. It struggled for numbers and did very little. Mike revived the name (ie second incarnation) for New Year's day performances two years ago, bringing in people from outside of Worcestershire. He also raised a 40-strong Beacon team for his birthday weekend in December 2023 and that spurred enough interest from local people to run weekly practices in West Malvern Village Hall from Jan 2024 onward (third incarnation). Beacon Morris always welcome any new dancers and musicians at their Tuesday evening practices. Gloucester Folk Trail The Gloucester Folk Trail first arrived in the city in 2018. Folk musicians, artists and poets from around the county congregate in venues around the city, paying homage to traditional forms of Folk music, performance, entertainment, and arts & crafts.
