Access in the Arts: This is Gabrielle

Gabrielle Carmella, a senior at Rutgers–New Brunswick studying photography and printmaking, is all about making art more inclusive for disabled artists. Through her work and internship at the Zimmerli Art Museum, she’s focusing on representation and accessibility. For her senior thesis exhibition, she wants to highlight the beauty of disability in art, challenge traditional norms, and showcase diverse voices in the creative scene.
