This is where Minezo Sports Shoes are handmade. Drawing from early athletic footwear, a time when shoes were often bespoke and built directly around the foot, Hirose-san combines this mindset with hand-sewn welt construction and traditional shoemaking techniques. The result is work rooted in nostalgia, but applied as a practical approach to building shoes that age well, last longer, and remain comfortable over time. The current offering sits somewhere between performance footwear and a leather derby: made-to-measure, built slowly, and guided by centuries-old shoemaking traditions.
