I've always struggled with the pearl pour. Getting consistent results has been difficult. I'd get so frustrated and stop...shelve the whole pearl pour idea only to come back to it a few months later. In this video I tested 4 recipes. 2 are the ones from Sara Taylor's video (testing both Behr and DecoArt to see the difference). The other 2 canvases I removed the Artist Loft paint and you won't believe the results. All of the recipes got me pearl cells, some more than others. Colors and 4 mixtures in video. That action can lead to another, and another and so on... I've been acrylic pouring since 2018. I am the messiest painter you will ever watch, but I love doing it! Painting is incredibly therapeutic for me and 9 times out of 10 I will make a bigger mess than you can imagine. My favorite challenge: large canvases because all that paint is so unpredictable and it adds such depth to a room.
