The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. Underverse brings the concept of a certain power known as OVERWRITING. It allows the person to OVERWRITE certain objects or characters within a timeline itself or the AU if the user has the full soul of OVERWRITE, such as changing stories, changing characters, changing behaviour, and possibly destroying a timeline or an AU itself; examples include the Underswap AU, and possibly the X-Tale AU. This behaviour is only doable by X Chara as he has half of X Gaster's soul. As the story progresses Ink sans goes and enlists the help of many sans (Underswap, Undertale, Underfell) from different AU's to help stop X Chara and Cross Sans.
