The logical second version in Nikon's pro-body SLR line, the F2, introduced in 1971, addressed some issues with the original F. While the F was designed from a rangefinder, the F2 was designed as an SLR with a normal film-back and in-camera body battery (using a Silver cell). But continued to have all the perks of a system camera with many accessories, finders, motor drives, battery packs, and massive film magazines.
