As we get into the holiday mood at the White Lab Workshop, I thought it would be fun to make a holiday-themed project. With a twist. For this week's woodworking video, I'll show you how to make some DIY home decor wooden snowflakes. The twist is that they will use more interesting joinery than just brad nails. Overlapping joints and dowels will hold these snowflakes together, with the help of some glue. Materials and tools used: 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch square dowels - Pick them up at the home center or mill them yourself 3/8 inch dowel Craftsman table saw Dado stack (though the dados could be cut with a router or other means) Dewalt sliding miter saw Titebond II wood glue (polyurethane glue would work well too, if your joints have some play in them) Check us out: Blog: https://whitelabworkshop.com/ Instagram: / whitelabworkshop Facebook: / whitelabworkshop
