Do we need a vacuum in the Milwaukee Eight crankcase? How do the issues of blow-by and excessive crankcase pressure factor in? In this video, I check for crankcase pressure and crankcase vacuum. It’s been difficult to find verifiable information, so I’m starting with what I can check and measure on my 114 Stage III FXBB Street Bob. In previous videos, I added a crankcase breather solution on the transmission top cover, and also added an external breather mod to the Arlen Ness Monster Sucker intake (links below). Check out what I’ve learned as I test & measure pressure and vacuum with one and both of these mods. ⏱️ 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 ⏱️ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = 00:00 Intro 00:16 Prior Videos: Crankcase Venting 00:41 Feeback About Crankcase Vacuum 01:12 Where Are The Facts? 01:40 Need Crankcase Vacuum? 01:53 Did I Eliminate The Vacuum? 02:22 Performance Update 02:53 Test My Crankcase Vacuum 03:35 Vacuum Gauge On Crankcase 03:56 First Vacuum Test 04:20 Reverse The External Breather Mod 04:38 Second Vacuum Test 05:15 Positive Crankcase Pressure Confirmed 05:53 Throttle Body Vacuum Test 06:15 My Conclusion? 06:36 Better Way To Test?
