It’s everything we love about the Garrett Pro-Pointer AT now waterproof up to 20 feet deep (6 meters) and with Z-Lynk Wireless Technology! After some field testing here’s some more info... The Pinpointer and Detector pair simultaneously (at the same time). You hear both probe and machine at the same time. I had no issues with obtaining connection or retaining connection with Pinpointer or Detector while probe was in use. I sat the probe next to a target and walked back 20-25 feet before losing audible tone in headphones. They reconnected when I walked back to the Pinpointer. I found the sound to be quite pleasant through the headphones. It’s a much softer tone than the speaker on the probe. The sound through the headphones reminded me of a video game as a kid. I can easily hear the tone even in high wind conditions. Volume adjustes with the headphones. The probe will still vibrate when connected to the headphones. Yes you can turn vibrate off if you prefer. Once you’ve made connection with receiver (WR-1 Univeral or MS-3 Headphones) it’s married to that receiver. Every time you turn on the probe it looks for that receiver. To link it to a different receiver you need to move original receiver away 40- 50 feet. It’s single tone.
