#Synthember2023 Single Gear Jam - Day It's been a long time since I did a Single Gear Jam with the FM. That's why I thought today is the day. Before that, I finally reset my Volca FM to its delivery state. In fact, most of the time I was actually working with presets that weren't originally on the FM. You can easily exchange the presets relatively easily, for example with Dexed. Well, that was my challenge today: Find a preset and jam with it for at least 30 minutes. Ok, I chose marimba. I don't know why. Maybe because I was hoping to find something more Precussion-like within the 32 sounds. I was disappointed. Overall, I have to say that I expected more from the factory presets. Too bad KORG. Well, I dared and I had fun, I think that's the main thing. And I won the challenge too. But I wouldn't want to do another single gear jam with these presets and would instead look for something from Dexed again. There is simply a lot more to it than you think at first glance. And because the question comes up very often: FM 1 or 2? Honestly? To me it wouldn't be worth the extra 50 EUR.
