Synopsis: Bugonia is a black comedy thriller directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, which follows two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap a high-powered CEO (Stone) convinced she is an alien plotting to destroy Earth. Based on the 2003 Korean film Save the Green Planet!, the plot explores themes of paranoia, corporate control, and systemic classism as the captors, Teddy (Plemons) and Don, force the CEO to confess her otherworldly origins.
