Raja Ampat | Hidden Lagoons & a Shark Cave | Freediving West Papua

Join us as we explore the entire coastline of Gam Island — a remote island surrounded by stunning lagoons, endless reefs, and dense tropical jungle in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia. Our journey begins at Mike’s Point, one of my favorite dive sites, where we go freediving along a vibrant coral reef full of life. Next, we visit Friwen Wall, one of Raja Ampat’s most famous dive sites, before stopping at a beautiful beach for lunch. Along the way, we encounter dolphins, turtles, and hornbills soaring over the jungle canopy. Later, at Batu Lima, we discover something unexpected: while exploring the reef, I spot a shark resting inside a cave. After carefully finding my way in, we find a beautiful nurse shark — a truly unforgettable encounter. From there, we continue our journey through The Passage and into the stunning Hidden Bay, surrounded by limestone cliffs and mangroves. No freediving here — it’s home to saltwater crocodiles — but the scenery is breathtaking. We finish the day at Citrus Reef, one of my favorite coral gardens in Raja Ampat.
