Gear: Lamberts Engineering Heavy Duty Motorcycle Dolly 4K This was supposed to be a 'Wednesday Short' video about the Lamberts Engineering Heavy Duty Motorcycle Dolly. After all, it's just a stand on 4 wheels for moving motorcycles around, how coud that be anything else... Anyway, what should have been a quick video became several problems to solve. I nearly didn't do the edit as there are many problems with the product as it ships from new. That said, the fundamental construction of the plate is strong enough for a GS, so rather than return it, I thought I'd make the changes to make it work for me. There aren't many heavy duty motorcycle dollies around, so in the absence of anything better, I thought this was worth both modifying and sharing. It's not a recommendation of the product unless you are comfortable making the changes. I did query the construction with the manufacturer and they said: "yes you are using it the correct way, Cutting the outside section to clear the tyre will be no issue at all. Not had any issues like this before, or sliding it in from the side with the center stand already partially down will not do it?" They were right that cutting it was no problem, but I'm surprised about the no issues. If anyone has one of these, and is able to get their bike off the centre stand when the casters are free to move, please let me know how you do it, either in the comments or to admin@peakmotorcycles.com Anyway, I only do videos on things I actually use, and I'm actually using this, albeit in it's modified form, so here it is.
