George Floyd was murdered on May 25th 2020 by a Police Officer named Derek Chauvin. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for 7 minutes despite Floyd begging with him saying, "please, I can't breathe" and "I'm about to die." This tragedy has sparked protests and riots for #BlackLivesMatter not only in the US but now across the globe as people stand up against police brutality and institutionalised racism. To those who criticise the #BlackLivesMatter movement: #Equality is a cause everyone should fight for. Whether it be through protests, fundraising, donations, petitions, music, art or film, we must do what we can to make people hear and make people see. No Justice, No Peace. This artwork is the least I can do to continue to spread the message that we will not stand for inequality any longer, that we refuse to see human beings suffer. "I understand that I will never be able to understand completely. But I stand with you and I will not let you do this alone. You were never meant to."
