British Army’s new ARCHER in the field!

The Archer was procured as an ‘interim solution’, in place of AS90s which have been donated. 14 Archer have currently been obtained, but with the possibility of a further 10. The permanent replacement for AS90 has been selected as the German Boxer RCH155 system. The Archer is a Swedish Self Propelled Howitzer with a fully automated 155mm gun. The system sits on a modified 6x6 Volvo A30D articulated hauler.
