With really bad weather in Adelaide in the preceding days, Doug and I set off for an overnight camping and fishing trip in the S.A. Riverland, which up to that point, had been spared the storms and heavy rain. Well, that all changed in a hurry later in the day, didn't it! Thunder, lightning and an absolute downpour just after dark - it's amazing how exposed you can feel out in the open and away from the relative safety of a house in conditions like that! The fishing was consistent and it turned out to be an absolute carpfest, although bigger fish were notably scarce, but we survived the weather god's best efforts and had an enjoyable time.
