We are at Headquarters for the Bridgeport Fire Department at 30 Congress Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where we see the entire house go on a run for a fire in the basement of a house at 551 Park Street, located between Pearl Street and Putnam Street. As can be heard being spoken by the dispatcher, the following companies responded: Engines 10, 1, 6, and 12 (as RIT), Ladder 10, Ladder 5, Rescue 5, and Officer 1, which was the Deputy Chief. Engine 12 is a 1992 Pierce Lance with a 500 gallon tank and 1250 GPM pumping capabilities. Tower Ladder 5 is a 2012 Pierce Arrow XT with a 95 foot mid-mount platform tower ladder. Rescue 5 is a 1992 Pierce Lance rescue pumper with a 500 gallon tank with 250 GPM pumping capabilities. Heard, but not seen responding from the front of Headquarters was the Deputy Chief and a Battalion Chief. As it turns out, the furnace of the house in question failed and ignited. Luckily, there was only minor damage, and no injuries or casualties. Enjoy the trio of Q's on all three rigs, as well as the attractive looking new Pierce Ladder.
