Construction of terroba Dam | ACCIONA

ACCIONA's Soto-Terroba Dam, located in the Leza River basin, has a maximum capacity of 8.14 cubic hectometers and stands 45.6 meters tall from crown to foundation. This infrastructure covers an area of 71.74 hectares in all. One of the dam's main purposes is to mitigate the water shortage suffered by downstream local communities in the summer months. As an added benefit, the dam has led to an increase in the quality of surrounding water sources by filtering out some of the salt.
