Normally not backing down from anyone, this is a rare occasion where the king himself showed his displeasure in this type of manner and let everyone know that he doesn’t want to be guarded by Leonard. And if you take a look at some of these clips from that series where the Klaw is completely up in his face, you know you can't blame him for feeling that type of way. Next, check out this absolute clampdown that I still remember and I sure believe Ben Maclemore does as well. So, Kawhi takes the ball out of his hands, as if from a little kid. Drives to the basket, and Maclemore makes it even worse by fouling him for the and 1. However the funny thing is that the very next possession, just seconds later, the same exact situation happens. Same spot, Kawhi once again snatches the ball off of him, and on the break, the young and clueless Maclemore at the time commits another foul in just 10 seconds. He then promptly got taken out of the game in an embarrassing display of helplessness. OK this one is just Leonard being a robot and having sensors all over his body. Look at what he does here. Guarding his man, senses that the pass is coming and dives without even looking at the ball, and gets the steal. This is possibly a top 5 steal ever in the NBA. Once again, check out the replay on this angle and appreciate his greatness. If you thought that was crazy, just check out this one. A whole nother level of Terminator basketball. Look at what he does to Jimmy Butler right here. One of the strongest and feistiest dudes in the league himself. Just watch how Leonard completely obliterates this shot with 1 hand, and still holds both the ball and the weight of Butler, and at the end of this inhumane sequence, he just flips the basketball to his right hand and again palms it like it’s a tennis ball. He truly is the Terminator. And here’s one of the rare occasions where Kawhi did show an emotion. Last season battling against now his teammate Paul George, or at least PG was battling here. Meanwhile, look at this smirk from Leonard. As if he’s trying to say “Dude what are you doing trying to push me? I’m way stronger than you and btw, Imma hit this fadeaway right in your face”. There are a ton other situations of him just doing crazy things on the court, while offensively or on the defensive end. These 5 or 6 plays are just at the top of his list, but as you can see, and as you know, he’s got way more in his portfolio. And he’s far from done with it.
