We dropped into the island for a Zero Build Squads match with the absolute squad: T-West, 10Yard, Boogie… and me, the emotional support player of the group. My role in these matches is simple—carry extra ammo, ping things that everyone already sees, and occasionally remind the squad that yes, there are enemies shooting at us. Right off spawn things felt a little sweaty. T-West and 10Yard were already frying people while I was still trying to figure out which shotgun I had picked up. Boogie was holding it down like usual, while I contributed by loudly announcing things like “I think there’s a guy over there!” which everyone already knew because they were actively eliminating him. Early game was basically the trio putting on a clinic while I gathered materials… which of course don’t matter in Zero Build, so really I was just collecting ammo and moral victories. Eventually we rotated into another fight and that’s when my usual gameplay kicked in. I cracked a shield, got excited, pushed too hard, and immediately got knocked. Nothing says team player like forcing your squad to perform an early reboot. Thankfully the legends handled it. T-West wiped the squad, 10Yard grabbed my card, and Boogie escorted the reboot like it was a presidential motorcade. I came flying back from the reboot van ready to help… and by help I mean immediately get lasered again a few minutes later. Second reboot of the match. At this point the squad wasn’t even surprised. From there the match settled in. The boys were racking up eliminations while I played my role perfectly: carrying heals, dropping ammo, pinging loot, and occasionally firing a few shots that mostly served to scare nearby trees. As we got into end game, the lobby finally got serious. Real squads, smart rotations, everyone hiding behind rocks and hills since builds weren’t an option. T-West was calling rotations like a general, 10Yard was frying anyone who peeked, and Boogie was locking down angles. And somehow… I was still alive. I even managed to crack a shield in the final fight, which felt like winning my own personal tournament. The last squad tried to push our hill but the trio shut it down fast. T-West dropped two, 10Yard cleaned another, Boogie held the flank, and I bravely contributed by shooting in their general direction and not getting knocked for once. Moments later the final player fell and Victory Royale popped up on the screen. Another squad win. T-West and 10Yard with the big eliminations, Boogie steady as always… and me with two reboots, a handful of assists, and the proud achievement of surviving end game without needing to be revived. Not flashy. Not dominant. But hey… I was there. And apparently that was just enough to help secure the W. #fortnite #fortnitezerobuilds #fortnitegameplay #zerobuilds #PS5 #PS5gameplays
