India's renowned cybercrime consultant and subject matter expert Mukesh Choudhary will explain about the dangers of transmission of Cyber Pornographic content over the internet. As per the provisions of Indian IT Act (A) 2008, transmission of cyber pornography content comes under the sections 67, 67A & 67B. Here, section 67A and 67B are non bailable section wherein 67B is only applicable when the content is related to any child (below 18 Yrs of age). Section 67B of Indian IT (A) Act 2008b also says that - whoever creates text or digital images, collects, seeks, browses, downloads, advertises, promotes, exchanges or distributes material in any electronic form depicting children in obscene or indecent or sexually explicit manner shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees and in the event of second or subsequent conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years and also with fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees. The CyberTipline in India is a reporting mechanism for online exploitation of children. It is monitored by the Indian National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The CyberTipline receives reports from all over India, and it is available 24/7. To report a case of online child sexual exploitation to the CyberTipline, you can visit the website or call the toll-free number 1800-200-1424. You will be asked to provide information about the incident, such as the date and time of the occurrence, the type of abuse, and the contact information of the perpetrator and victim (if available). Once you have filed a report, it will be reviewed by a CyberTipline analyst. If the report is deemed to be credible, it will be forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency for investigation. The CyberTipline also works with other organizations, such as the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States. The CyberTipline is an important tool for combating online child sexual exploitation. It allows people to report suspicious activity quickly and easily, and it helps law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute these crimes.
