Five days bikepacking, through Otago, Mackenzie Country, Waitaki District. A bikepacking adventure to cycle the Alps to Ocean, (A2O). Leaving home at Glenore, Milton and cycling up the Clutha Gold Trail to Alexandra, then onto the Otago Central Rail Trail to Oturehua, then up into the Oteake Conservation Park, over Omarama Saddle and up to Twizel, where I jump onto the A2O that takes me all the way down to Oamaru, then I make my way to Dunedin, then back down onto the Clutha Gold Trail home. Sleeping light with just a bivvy bag, foraging along the way, isolation in the wilderness, and literally cycling home into the sunset, after a 248km day. A total of 722km over 5 fantastic days.
