American Visits Holy Island - Lindisfarne

After multiple visits to Northumberland, we FINALLY were in the right place at the right time and were able to visit Lindisfarne Holy Island! This is a location in Northern England that is not only of huge significance to Early Christianity but also to military defense in the Scottish Borders area as well as unusual tidal island which makes for a unique visit! The castle is fascinating and very well managed. It is a delight to walk back in time and see what it would have been like to visit there in the early 1900’s.
