This video is about Behind the Scenes ( BTS) of our journey from Kokernag to Sinthan top to Daksum to Achabal. We ended our day at Srinagar, where we stayed at Heemal hotel which is a JKTDC property. The journey started from Gulmarg,then we proceeded towards Gurez valley and then reached Kokernag and Sinthan top. If you want to plan this journey you can club it with your Pahalgam tour, but for this you need to start your day early from Srinagar and you may have to extend the tour by one day. This Video was shot on 30th June 2023. Below are the activities / key destinations we visited during the road journey from Kokernag to Achabal. We started our day from Kokernag, our stay was at Kokernag JKTDC Cottage, location of the cottage was within the Garden. Kokernag Spring - Entry fee Rs 24, Timing 8am to 5 pm, There are different channels from the Spring water flowing in the garden that makes it so beautiful, staying here at Kokernag would be best option. Room rent was Rs 2700 for 2 cottages which was very reasonable, though the upkeep of this place was not upto the mark. Daksum - Then proceeded towards Daksum which is small town, while traveling we noticed the Brengi river was flowing on the side of the road, we stop by Daksum spring, view was magnificent, this was about 30 km before sinthan top. If one wants to see the source of this spring can trek, would require 1 day to reach there with the help of local person, since we had limited time, we had maggie from the local shop near the spring. Sinthan Top - Our travel date was 30th june, we never expected that we would get snow that was 3 to 4 feet. It is about 130 km from Srinagar, when we reached there the weather was chilly & foggy, we barely saw the view, still we enjoyed it a lot. Sinthan Top is located at 12500 ft. Daksum - We stop for tea break at daksum, then proceeded towards Achabal which is around 35 km from daksum. Then after that we ended our day at Srinagar. Hotel Heemal - We stayed at this hotel for Rs 4000 for double occupancy, it is a jktdc property, just across the Dal lake, you get beautiful view of Dal Lake from its balcony. Hope you like the video.
