Markets remained volatile after the RBI policy, with benchmark indices ending higher after a choppy session. The Sensex closed up 266 points at 83,580, while the Nifty added 50 points to end at 25,693. Nifty Bank finished 56 points higher at 60,120. IT and pharma stocks dragged the markets, while FMCG and consumer durables provided support. ITC, Kotak Bank, HUL, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance led the gains, while HDFC Life, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Auto and Asian Paints were among the top losers.
