ActionSA President, Herman Mashaba lead a national march to the Office of Police Minister, Bheki Cele. ActionSA will present a memorandum which will detail the failures of SAPS stations across the country and will give the Minister 3 months to address these challenges. If he fails to do so, ActionSA will consider litigation to uphold the rights of all South Africans to live free from fear. ActionSA recognises that many men and women in uniform work tirelessly, against all odds, to give effect to their duties to keep some of us safe. The failure of our police stations must be placed at the feet of SAPS leadership and the Minister. Mashaba will be joined by National Chairperson, Michael Beaumont, National Director of Operations, John Moodey, Chief Strategist, Andre Coetzee, Chief Governance Director, Dr Nasiphi Moya, National Spokesperson, Lerato Ngobeni, National Director of Communications, Samkelo Mgobozi and ActionSA Director of Legal, Alistair Shaw. All 9 Provincial Chairpersons, Funzi Ngobeni (Gauteng), Michelle Wasserman (Western Cape), Patricia Kopane (Free State), Thoko Mashiane (Mpumalanga), Sello Lediga (Limpopo), Kwena Mangope (North West), Andrew Louw (Northern Cape), Athol Trollip (Eastern Cape) and Zwakele Mncwango (KwaZulu-Natal).
