2013 STi Build Part 20 - The First Start and Finale

It's quite some time ago now that Tyler mentioned his thoughts of building his STi. My Subaru knowledge, my reduced labor rates and the fact that the build has been video documented are all reasons it worked out in both of our favors. I didn't plan on getting into so much detail, although this series of videos may be the most thorough STi build on the internet. Yeah I said it. This amount of work really pushed me to the limit working from my small garage. I've done a few head gasket type jobs here, but nothing this extensive. This is also one of the largest jobs of my career. Not too many people show up at an automotive repair shops and spend 50 hours of labor. With the job finally complete, I'm as happy as Tyler is. Next big step for him and the car is break in. This is a time consuming process that must be done correctly and could be detrimental if not done so. Keeping an eye on things like oil, coolant levels and gauge readings are vital at a time like this. Thanks for watching! There will be a follow up video for this STi. Hopefully we can capture the dyno run and record some highway pulls in the future. Must close this book for now and begin another.
