On October 14, 1986, Michael Kalantarian took two days off from his job at the Curry Company in Yosemite Valley to tackle Mt. Clark alone. As he reached an impassable section of the mountain, he decided on another route. As he reached for what appeared to be a solid handhold, his foot slipped, and he fell 70 feet and was too injured to walk out. This would be the beginning of a harrowing ordeal for survival. 0:00 Introduction 0:38 Off to Climb Mt.
