The Government's KiwiSaver changes kick in today, halving its contribution to the scheme, saving it $2.3 billion over four years. It was on this day, 18 years ago, that KiwiSaver was first launched. The same age as some of the Youth MPs participating in Parliament this week. The Government today faced awkward accusations from Youth MPs, who claimed they were told not to criticise the Coalition's policies in their speeches.
