Jenny and I completed a 230 km hiking and packrafting expedition in northern Sweden, traveling through some of the most remote wilderness areas in Scandinavia. Starting from Abisko, we followed the famous Kungsleden trail to then reach the Visttasjohka and the Kaitum river. This long-distance packrafting trip combines multi-day hiking with river travel through Lapland, crossing vast tundra, mountain valleys, and wild river systems. The landscape and scale often resemble Canada or Alaska, offering a rare example of a solid wilderness experience for the European standard.
