How to Propagate Rubber Tree | Ficus Elastica Variegata - Tineke

Ficus Elastica - known as Rubber Tree because its sap produces a type of latex that was once used to make rubber. Planted in the wild, this is basically a tree which can grow 30-40M tall. But as indoor plants they will grow only like shrubs. Sunlight requirement: filtered/indirect light or a few hours of direct morning light. Water requirement: they prefer dry soil, so dry them in between watering. too much water will cause the browning of the leaves. Soil requirement: quick draining soil. Propagation: Stem and leaves cutting. In this video i tried leaves cutting and propagated both in water and soil. and after 4 months, both have developed healthy roots.
