Pacing CN 3008 (Illinois Central Heritage Unit) in West Normantown, IL

We're pacing a manifest headed up by the Illinois Central heritage unit, CN 3008. In November 2020, as part of celebrations for the 25th anniversary of CN's privatization, the company unveiled a series of locomotives repainted in the schemes of its predecessor and/or subsidiary railroads. GE ET44AC #3008, built in 2015, was repainted in a modified Illinois Central 'Deathstar' livery. The paint scheme is nicknamed ‘Deathstar’ due to the overall black paint and contrasting white nose logo. Although it's been almost 30 years since the Main Line of Mid-America fell, there are still a reasonable number of Illinois Central locomotives in their original paint left. The heritage unit is nice, but I'd rather see a real one... If you like what you see, please consider subscribing :)
