Rabbi Bayar and Cantor Kapell will be leading Yom Kippur morning services at B’nai Tzedek from the Berman Sanctuary. The components of the service which follow the Shacharit and Torah service are listed and explained below. SERMON 2:17:44 Rabbi Bayar will deliver his Yom Kippur sermon. YIZKOR 2:40:52 Yizkor consists of several brief prayers when we remember and honor our loved ones who have passed away in years past. MUSAF Musaf is introduced with the Cantor’s rendition of the Hineini Prayer, an expression of humility as he is now about to offer prayers on behalf of the congregation. MARTYROLOGY In this part of the service we recall the sacrifices of rabbis during the period of the Romans who sought to extinguish Judaism.
