In this video we show you the city of Teresina, the capital of the state of Piauí in the North East region of Brazil. We start the video at a location in Teresina where the shortest avenue in Brazil is located: Avenida Antonino Freire. This is also where the church of São Benedito was built and where you will find the Palácio Karnak which is the headquarters of the government of the state of Piauí. Next stop is Parque da Cidadania in Teresina which is a large public park and is located next to an old train station. Another tourist attraction which is located very close to the Palácio Karnak is a theatre called Theatro 4 de Setembro. In front of this building there is a small square called Praça Pedro II (Named after the Portuguese emperor at the time who named the city after his wife) and this is where the shortest avenue is Brazil ends too.
