What I feed my PSSM Type 2 Horse | Happy the Standie

Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy (PSSM) is a difficult disease to manage in horses. Happy has PSSM Type 2 which means he needs a lot of protein and vitamin E in order to maintain weight and muscle. He also needs magnesium to help with muscle cramping and tightness along with a few other supplements that aid in muscle function. Happy is n/P2 according to the EquiSec genetic test for PSSM Type 2. The diet I outline in this video has gotten him to a place where he is not symptomatic, he is gaining muscle, and feeling energetic. Along with his feed, he gets consistent turnout and blanketing when the weather is cooler.
