City Trial - Kirby Air Ride [Multi Instrumental Cover]

This was my entry to the Dwelling of Duels March contest. I recorded it while my family was away on spring break and I could not go because I came down with covid on the day we were supposed to leave. I was feeling a little bit better, but I still felt pretty gross so I stayed mostly off camera and let the instruments do the work. I got the idea for this arrangement a few months ago when I was playing through this song and realized that Gerudo Valley has the same chord progression as the A to B section transition, so I wanted to try a little switcheroo for the contest. I'll probably have to change the arrangement slightly to license it for distribution since it's more than just a quote, but I thought it would be fun to do for the contest since it's the kind of thing that makes music nerds like me smile. ;) VGMCon was sooooo much fun last weekend, but it took me basically until Thursday to function properly again, so I wasn't able to get a completely new song recorded this week. I stayed up late doing the video edit and fixing some mixing and arrangement problems that people commented on during the content listening party so that I wouldn't break my weekly streak again. I've got lots of plans hatched for the next few months that may not all end up on my channel, but there will be art and friends and art friends!
