So you think you know how to Beat Halo 2? Well think again bud, cause I’m willing to bet you’ve never played through it using Xbox’s official strategy guide. Strategy guides are a thing of the past, since these days you have the entire world at your fingertips and people just grab their phones and use YouTube whenever they’re stuck in video games. But today, we’re taking a time capsule to the early 2000s, back when you used to burn CDs, the Razr was the hottest phone on the market, and most of the games you played were rented from Blockbuster. I’m going to utilize the official Halo 2 strategy guide as if I’m a complete noob to see if this really is the best way to conquer the covenant on Delta Halo. I did this previously with Halo CE, and while there are plenty of discovered secrets that weren’t included in that guide, it was still full of valuable information that could help even the most seasoned veterans in the UNSC. We’re playing on an original Halo 2 copy, since Bungie would NOT approve of the MCC version, and we’re playing on an xbox 360 so that we don’t have little black bars on the screen throughout the video. The guide specifically states this is for normal difficulty, but this guy is still living rent free in my head, so we’re gonna play on Heroic. I did read through the entire guide before making this video and was impressed with all the information: You get a detailed description on the controls, strengths and weaknesses for each weapon and vehicle, how to approach each enemy type, as well as general tips and tactics that will help you throughout the Great Journey. You also get overhead maps of each area throughout the campaign, which shows you what you can expect in each section. So time to load up a fresh save file and forget everything we know about Halo 2.
