From his youthful days, Deenathayaln, a devote Hindu, was attracted towards occult sciences and wanted to be an Astrologer with magical powers. He went Kerala state to learn the trade. Then on, he made Astrology as his profession. His wife, Kokila, also a Hindu, underwent a couple of C-Sections and then was forced to remove her uterus due to a cyst. Later on, she developed serious medical complications and was advised to remove her ovaries. The biopsy test after the surgery revealed traces of cancerous cells. Kokila, was terrified at the result and sought the help of her relatives to pray for her. It so happened that her brother was a practicing Christian and suggested Deenathayalan to visit a church for a word of prayer. Deenathayalan refused initially but later on conceded to the request. The second biopsy report ruled out carcinoma and the healing of Kokila by praying to Lord Jesus changed the family of Deenathayalan in to following Jesus Christ.
