Previously, I made two separate videos looking at an alternate world where the MCU had the exact opposite rights, meaning they sold off the rights to Avengers and some others while keeping the X-Men, Spider-Man and Fantastic Four. We saw that world’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, that world’s series of Fox Avengers movies and now, finally, Sony Pictures. In the real world Sony purchased Marvel’s biggest character and wasn’t really interested in much else. In this world where Marvel didn’t need to sell Spider-Man, Sony negotiated for their second biggest character - Wolverine - separate from the X-Men. In this video I’ll be going over everything Sony did with Wolverine and how that led to their deal with Marvel to allow Wolverine into the MCU.
